Ephesians 1:18

Introduction

Congratulations, you're embarking on a spiritual strategy for maturing as an ambassador and soldier in the Kingdom of God.

Goals

Spend the month reading, studying, and meditating on this verse. Ideally you will read the book of Ephesians at least once (20 minutes) and chapter 1 (3 minutes) several times. At the end of the month you should be able to quote the verse and its Biblical reference.

Notes

This months verse is part of a prayer that Paul prayed for the church in Ephesus. Of the many remarkable insights in Ephesians chapter 1 consider the vital revelation of verses 4 and 5: 'For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.' The teaching that God has chosen us is a clear theme in chapter one. As you read the chapter, take time to note and consider how often it refers to the will of God.
